I love photographing new babies in the arms of their parents, like this newborn baby boy and daddy. Baby Billy looks so teeny and innocent compared to his big, strong daddy. Tattoos always add visual interest to portraits, so I was happy to see that this new father had sleeves! The black ink, plus his dark shirt and facial hair really emphasize Billy’s soft, fair baby skin.
I can’t get enough of those tiny toes sticking up, and the little hands neatly folded over Daddy’s. Billy looks like he’s concentrating really hard — maybe he’s dreaming up what kind of tattoos he’s going to get when he’s bigger. Welcome to the world, little man!

It’s so important to have a highly trained newborn photographer so that your baby not only looks precious, but is also safe and sound. For me, it’s all about posing, which takes skill and patience. Each newborn session that I capture in my Cranford, NJ, studio is unique — no two are ever alike. I promise you the very best quality, creativity, and an overall great experience. My newborn fee includes:
- the session fee (time and talent to capture, carefully select and fully edit 30-35 final images)
- the base digital package — The Petal Collection (all hi-res digital files on a USB drive)
- carefully and personally selected props
- photos with parents and siblings
- package upgrades and additional products also available
It’s best to capture newborns within the first 7 to 10 days of life. Once that small window of time is gone, you will never have the chance to capture it again.
