The Wendy Williams Show — PUBLISHED!

OMG, my photo from Miss Jhett Paxton Cromartie’s newborn session was on The Wendy Williams Show!!!

I got a call from Terricka Cromartie the other day to let me know that my image filled the set of The Wendy Williams Show, and my expression probably looked like Wendy’s does below. SO EXCITING!!! Thank you so much to Terricka and Antonio for allowing me to capture their gorgeous family. I have spent so much time getting to know them and their adorable children. It has truly been a complete pleasure and one of the most rewarding experiences.

Newborn Photos — Jhett Paxton Cromartie

You’ve already seen this cutie as The Elf on the Shelf, as well as some sneak peeks of her birth and newborn sessions on Facebook and Instagram, but I’m excited to share more of Miss Jhett Paxton Cromartie’s newborn photos here on the blog! It was an honor to capture Terricka and Antonio’s sixth child, a true football princess.

This first photo, which was published in US Weekly and BET, was so much fun to style. We commissioned the custom locker from Woodsy Wonders, and Miss Jhett and all her gear fit perfectly inside. The little shoes are my favorite! She’s clearly had a busy day out on the field, so it’s time for a nap.

She also looked gorgeous on my swing and in the wreath (which involve lots of photography magic), as well as on the pink lace blanket with various headpieces. Can you spot the tiny pink football? Terricka and Antonio are seasoned parents, so they look so confident and joyful with her in their arms. I just love this family, and look forward to watching all of their precious little ones grow!

6 Month Old Baby Photo Sessions

What is more precious than a baby girl in a bonnet? A naked baby girl in a bonnet! I love my six month old baby photo sessions because babies at this age are just SO sweet. I could’ve photographed this cherub all day. Look at those soft dark curls, that smooth tan skin and those light puppy-dog eyes. I don’t know how her parents don’t just eat her up!

“Sitters” — babies who are about six to nine months of age and can sit up but not crawl or walk — are pretty much perfect models. I like to keep the backdrops and props pretty minimal and neutral for these sessions so that the focus is on the squish-able curves and toothless grins. I do extra softening in the editing process to help accentuate the details that you’ll want to remember forever, like those long eyelashes.

Sweet and Simple Baby Sessions

As much as I love styling elaborate sets for holidays, birthdays and special occasions, there’s nothing quite like my sweet and simple baby sessions. Sometimes all you need is a squishy naked body, a soft blankie and a seamless neutral background. “Sitters” are babies around six to nine months of age who can sit up, but aren’t mobile yet. They’re basically perfect models! This is the age when the cheeks are the roundest, the rolls are the chunkiest and the dimples are the deepest. I can’t get enough!

I do have a props we can incorporate, like the darling vintage carriage, cool textured bowl and tiny distressed chair that you’ll see below. This little cutie, Juliana, was so good-natured about letting us try different headbands on her. How gorgeous are her eyes with the charcoal gray backdrop?

Teen Birthday Session — Jordynn is 13

This colorful mural in Jersey City is called “The Dream,” and that’s just what it was to do Jordynn’s 13th birthday photo session. I love the contrast between her crinkly white dress and the rich red background. The movement we were able to capture in these shots perfectly reflects Jordynn’s active personality. The whimsical butterflies and flowers help keep things playful and youthful. Jordynn is just gorgeous inside and out, and it was a pleasure to help her celebrate this special birthday.

We couldn’t resist getting some pictures in front of the Jersey City skyline at sunset, and I just LOVE how they turned out. The giant foil “13” balloons bring out the purple hue in the sky, the buildings and the iridescent jewels on Jordynn’s dress. She’s so tall and lean, and looked so glam in the cityscape. She showed off her athleticism in the last shot, which I’m sure will be a framer for her family’s walls. Go Jordynn!

Sure, your kids get their pictures taken at school each year, but those don’t capture their unique spirit and individuality like a professional shoot on location can. My teen sessions take place outdoors in urban settings throughout New Jersey and New York City, usually on weeknights about two hours prior to sunset. The session fee includes the following:
