Best Friends Day — June 8th

Happy Best Friends Day! And happy graduation to these two besties from Cranford High School, and all the other 2018 grads out there! This outdoor session in Asbury Park, NJ, is still one of my favorites. The colorful murals, the golden evening light and the vibrant personalities of these young women made for a magical combination. I know you’re probably just firing up the grill and hitting the beach, but fall will be here before you know it, so we’re already planning the holiday schedule for you!

These four sweeties loved getting bundled up and snuggling outside on our cozy blankie. The great thing about doing holiday sessions like these in the fall is that it’s not too cold and gray yet, and the light is absolutely gorgeous. The red hats, sweaters, pillows and bows pop so nicely against the green that’s still left in the grasses and trees, and of course I can’t resist adding an evergreen garland and wreath. If your little ones love romping around in the grass and playing with cute props, then these are for you!

The Cromarties on USA Network — Fall Family Photos

New episodes of The Cromarties are on USA Network on Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. Are you watching? You should be! They are so hilarious and relatable, keeping it real as parents. I have been working with this amazingly sweet and loving family for five years and am so happy that America is now able to see what I have been seeing. I just love them. Watch tonight — you won’t be sorry!

Oh, and if I haven’t said this before — Antonio is by far THE funnest dad to capture. Dads have been known to be a little “difficult” during sessions (yep, even more so than the kids). So ladies, if your hubby needs a lead, take one from Antonio. These captures were taken during their fall family photo session — although they look so young and in love, you’d think it was their engagement session!

Sitter Sessions and Dimples … Two of My Favorite Things

I have to share one more sneak peek of sweet Ava. Look at that dimple! And that fuzzy hair. And the way she’s grabbing her foot. I just love sitter sessions!

The background color goes perfectly with Ava’s beautiful skin tone, and her outfit and the rocking horse give this shot a vintage look that I just adore. I’m so glad we were able to capture this special age. It won’t be long before she’s pulling up trying to ride that rocking horse!

This little lady’s personality is almost as big as her bow! Ava’s sitter session in front of the Paris backdrop, which is quickly becoming a favorite, was an absolute delight.

The time when babies first start sitting up also seems to be when their personalities really start to shine through. The bright eyes. The tongues sticking out. The round foreheads and cheeks. Ah! I can’t wait to share more from Ava’s session! What a little charmer.
