Carousel 1st Birthday Cake Smash

The last of the summer’s cake smashes I have to share with you is this carousel 1st birthday cake smash for little Alisha. I absolutely love the pink and peach together, and a few flecks of gold really made this new set shine.

I cannot get over how much hair Alisha has for just being one! Her dark curls looked adorable half up with a peach flower, and also topped with a gold crown. We got the most precious smiles from her — even some big open-mouth ones! She was so excited to show us the pink balloon and to hold up the gold glittery “1” prop. She carefully peeled all the decorations off the cake before tasting them. Yum! Yay for ONE!

You can even just pick a color scheme, and we’ll roll with that!

Lavender Fields and Flowers 1st Birthday Cake Smash

Sweet Alaia (isn’t that a beautiful name?) celebrated her first birthday with a lavender fields and flowers cake smash. Although we didn’t use any actual lavender, these images almost make me smell the fragrant flowering herb and feel calm. The painterly background, vintage bird cages, twinkle lights and paper floral elements gave this session a soft, romantic feel. Another delicious and pristinely decorated cake by Kimmy’s Kakes was the centerpiece of the set.

Look at Alaia’s big brown eyes! She looked precious in both pink and aqua, and of course in just a diaper cover and oversized bow. She wasn’t a big fan of getting messy and let us know when she was all done, but luckily, we got some adorable portraits before that. I love the detail shots showcasing her sweet piggies, her gorgeous long eyelashes and her crumb-covered kisser. Have fun being one, little love!

Football Themed 1st Birthday Cake Smash

This little Rookie of the Year got his very own football themed 1st Birthday cake smash! Daddy plays football in the NFL, but his heart is still with the LSU Tigers, so we decorated with purple and gold.

Kimmy’s Kakes made an amazingly realistic football cake! Doesn’t it look like you could pick it up and throw it? This was definitely one of my favorite baby boy cake smash sessions to date. Happy Birthday, KJ!

KJ is a mild-mannered little fella, so it took him a while to dig into the cake, but once he did, he thought it was pretty tasty. The back view kills me — I love his hair!

Hot Air Balloon 1st Birthday Cake Smash Session

There were so many fun first birthday sessions in the studio this summer, including Valentina’s hot air balloon cake smash! It was such a pleasure to have this sweet family back and see how big and beautiful their baby girl has gotten since her newborn session.

They decided on a whimsical hot air balloon theme, and Kimmy of Kimmy’s Kakes made a darling peach polka dot fondant cake with a hot air balloon topper to coordinate. Valentina did a very thorough job of smashing it — compliments to chef Kimmy for making it so irresistible!

Valentina just loved clapping her hands and playing with her accessories and props. We got some of the cutest expressions, like that scrunched-up grin in the first shot below. The portrait of her in just her diaper cover, pearls and giant bow is definitely one of my favorites. I could eat her up like she did her cake!

2018 Elf on the Shelf Holiday Session

Vintage Truck Holiday Sessions ~ Back by Popular Demand!
Monday, October 15th (SOLD OUT) & Wednesday, October 17th (SOLD OUT)
This is one of my all-time favorite themed sessions! This set includes a gorgeous, perfectly restored 1956 cherry red Ford F100 pick-up (owned by Stacey from Toys with Love in Chester, NJ), fresh holiday greens flown in from Washington State, plaid pillows and blankets, and reindeer holiday mugs for a little toast. We’ll have a fun sitting around the truck as well as inside the truck (just not on the tailgate for safety reasons).
• 20 minute session, best for children ages 3 and up.
• 12 hi-res digital images edited to perfection and sent via digital transfer

Elf on the Shelf Sessions ~ NEW!

Begin your Elf on the Shelf tradition with your little one dressed just like the elf he/she will love throughout his/her childhood. These captures will be a piece of art that you will cherish forever. This session is best for newborns up to sitters (around 9 months, no walkers). The Elf on the Shelf outfit will be provided, you just need to bring the baby. We’ll capture 2 different sets with a number of different props.
• 30 minute session
• 2-3 gorgeously composed and edited to perfection hi-res images, sent via digital transfer

These studio sessions are for children only, sitter up to the age of 6. A sneak peek of this year’s set will be available in September. The studio holiday set changes every year. This year’s set will complement any holiday color — red, green, blues, golds, creams, and white.

Family Sessions
September, October & November
If you want stunning keepsakes of your family, this is the session for you. Perfect for your walls or a gorgeous coffee table book, these captures also make great holiday cards and cherished holiday gifts for the grandparents. The Family Session is what I personally choose every year for my own family (and yes, the grandparents get albums and gallery wrapped canvases every year for Christmas). Field, barn, park, urban, beach — the location is up to you. Of course, I am happy to make recommendations. Please inquire for availability. Travel fees apply to all locations outside of a 25 minute radius of zip 07016.
• 1-hour session.
• 30 hi-res digital images edited to perfection, sent to you on a USB
• $795 plus tax

How to Reserve your Session NOW…

All holiday sessions require a non-refundable $200 deposit.
No refunds or exchanges.
Please keep in mind any rain dates — you must be able to make the specified rain date.
All session balances will be due 4 weeks prior to your session. An invoice link will be emailed to you

Please contact jacqueline@jacquelinebellefleur.com to reserve your session. Once a date and time are mutually agreed upon, a deposit link will be emailed to you. You will have 24 hours to make a deposit payment. If the deposit is not made, the session will be offered to the next client.

Please keep in mind that I do my best to accommodate every one of my clients, in particular those of you who return to me multiple times each year, every year. Your loyalty means the world to me. I am truly flattered that you trust me with capturing your special milestones and moments. But, Jacqueline Belle Fleur Photography is me and only me. So, unfortunately, I do have to limit the number of sessions I am able to take during the holiday season in order to ensure that I am able to deliver galleries in a timely fashion without compromising my full attention to each client and my editing process.
